			<p align="justify"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">H.E. Florence Bore, EGH, held a Meet and Greet reception for the Kenyan Diaspora on 9th February, 2026 at the Hilton Hotel.</span></span></p>
<p align="justify"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The event which was the High Commissioner’s inaugural meeting with the Diaspora was attended by top officials of the Kenya Welfare Association (KWA) and Kenyans who represented various professions in Windhoek.</span></span></p>
<p align="justify"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The event provided a forum through which the Diaspora could share their perspectives. Amb. Florence Bore, EGH, assured Kenyans that the Mission would address their challenges.</span></span></p>
<p align="justify"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The Mission informed that the State Department of Diaspora Affairs (SDDA) was organizing a Mobile Consular Services roll-out in Namibia from 21st – 28th February, 2026 and encouraged Kenyans to register in large numbers and share this information widely.</span></span></p>

<p>The Kenya High Commission hosted the 61st Anniversary of Kenya’s Independence on 4th December, 2024 at the Movenpick Hotel. The Chief Guest was Hon. <p>Windhoek: Hon. Musalia Mudavadi, EGH., Prime Cabinet Secretary of the Republic of Kenya and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs made an official visit to the Republic of Namibia between 9th -10th September 2024. While in Namibia, the Hon. Prime Cabinet Secretary held consultative meetings with His Excellency Dr.&nbsp; Nangolo Mbumba &#8211; President of the Republic of Namibia and the Vice President and further co -chaired political – diplomatic consultations with his counterpart, Dr. Peya Mushelenga, MP, Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of Namibia.</p>



<p>The Hon. Prime Cabinet Secretary was accompanied by Amb. Denis Mburu, Deputy Director General of Africa Directorate, State Department of Foreign Affairs and other senior officials from several Government Ministries and agencies who held a successful Mid-term Review (MTR) on the inaugural Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation (JPCC) that paves for the two countries to hold a second session of JPCC at an agreed date in 2025.</p>



<p>Beside from reaffirming the special relations that Kenya and Namibia share, several pending cooperation frameworks from security, ICT, Trade and Investment, Agriculture and Education were discussed and mutual undertaking to fast-track their completion before the second session of JPCC.</p>

<p>6<sup>th</sup> December, 2023, Windhoek: Amb. Michael Sialai, High Commissioner of Kenya in Namibia held a 60 years Anniversary of the Country’s independence yesterday at the Mercure Hotel.  The event was attended by high-ranking officials from the Namibian government not limited to Hon. Jennely Matundu – Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation (MIRCO) who was the Chief Guest, Hon. Yvonne Dausab, Minister of Justice and Khomas Region Governor, Hon. Laura McLeod-Katjirua.  Diplomatic Community in Namibia, private sector and section of Kenyans were in attendance.</p>



<p>The two speeches from the High Commissioner and the Chief Guest both lauded the special relations that Kenya and Namibia share dating back to 1966 when Mzee Jomo Kenyatta donated a Land rover to SWAPO then as a liberation movement to help in transporting personnel from Francis Town in Botswana to Kazungula in Zambia, a bond that was strengthened further during the UNTAG era and post independence where collaborations in fields such as health, education , agriculture among others continue to thrive.</p>
