The Kenya High Commission wishes to advise all travellers planning to visit the Republic of Kenya that a mandatory requirement regarding travel health insurance must be strictly adhered to prior to entry.
In accordance with statutory requirements, specifically Gazette Notice No. 11492 (30 July 2026), all non-Kenyan visitors are required to possess valid Inbound Travel Health Insurance issued under the supervision of the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA). This requirement is applicable regardless of whether a traveller requires an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA).
